Drummer available for band / session work

I'm currently looking to join a working band in Leicestershire (or further afield depending on the offer). I'm also open to all offers of dep, session/recording and teaching work. Call 0116 262 7142.

What do I have to offer?

As mentioned elsewhere on this site, I've been playing for over 20 years, I have transport and professional gear. I can turn my hand(s)(and feet) to most things: rock, blues, funk, jazz, reggae, punk, sambas, mambas, salsas, bossonovas, weird time signatures, polyrhythms, soul, cheese, etc are all within my capability. I've been playing a double bass drum pedal since September 2008.

So if you're looking for a drummer, please feel free to contact me, sending relevant links to myspace pages/band websites, etc... As a guide, I usually charge about £25 per hour for session work. If I join your band, then obviously things work a little differently!

Equipment

As of July 2008 I will be playing a maple shell (rosewood vaneer) SQ2 Sonor kit (see below):

I also have a very versitile 14"x5" Noble and Cooley solid shell snare drum made of cherry wood. This is a bright drum with a lot of bite but if you slacken off the head it becomes deeper and more meaty. You don't have to do much studio hokus-pokus to make this beautiful drum sound great.

I have a good range of Zildjian cymbals:

I use a combination of DW 5000 and DW 9000 hardware:

Sonor Kit

I provide an electronic set up involving Roland SPD-20 drum pads and a sampler. If you have an idea, run it by me and I'll let you know whether it's possible. I also have a Nord Lead synth module that can be trigged by with drum pads.
